Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of our well known client based in Thorpe-le-Soken, they are seeking a Plant Nursery Assistant to join their team due to growth.

The Role

• Planting young plants, this involved working as part of a team on an automated machinery to maximise productivity
• Picking of stock for orders and ensuring quality meets the required standards
• Spacing of plants
• Weeding
• Labelling & Pricing
• Adhering to all health and safety requirements as standard
• Working with the team leaders to ensure daily objectives achieved & any issues are addresses promptly

Shifts

7:30am – 4:00pm off peak
7:30am – 5:00pm during busy periods
6 days per week in peak seasons – including weekends and bank holidays

Your Experience/ Requirements

• Good communication skills as you will be working as part of a team
• Ability to work well unsupervised once training is completed
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and concentrate for long periods of time
