Job Role

• Culinary Vision: Lead the development of high-quality, seasonal menus that enhance the venue’s standing as a premier destination on the Maldon outskirts.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a professional kitchen brigade, ensuring high morale and consistent excellence.
• Financial Oversight: Total accountability including managing food costs (GP), labor budgets, and operational overheads.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety, HACCP, and food hygiene standards, ensuring the kitchen operates at a 5-star level.
• Local Sourcing: Leverage the venue’s location to build relationships with local Essex producers and suppliers.

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven Experience: Background as an Executive or Head Chef in a quality-driven, high-volume environment.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to manage the “big picture” of kitchen operations while maintaining an eye for plating and detail.
• Reliability: Must have a driving licence and a reliable vehicle to commute to the outskirts of town.
• Experience managing weddings and multisites
• 3 Years Executive Chef experience
• Personal alcohol licence desirable
• Strong references
