Working Hours

• 45 hours per week
• Straight shifts between 6am – 9pm
• Includes weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis

Job Role

• Support the Executive Head Chef and senior kitchen team in the daily operations of a high-volume kitchen serving up to 400 guests.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of breakfast, lunch, and dinner to exacting standards and dish specifications.
• Lead by example in upholding company values, service standards, and departmental procedures.
• Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations, ensuring all team members follow best practices.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures to maintain cleanliness across all operational kitchens.
• Accurately complete HACCP and cleaning records, reporting any defects to support a 5-star EHO rating.
• Manage allergen awareness and dietary requirements, including direct guest interaction when needed.
• Mentor and coach Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, and Kitchen Porters through on-the-job training and development.
• Take initiative in your own professional growth and career progression within the kitchen team.

Your Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills
• High standards with strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent catering qualification
