The Role

We are seeking a Welder to assist in the fabrication of high-quality trolleys and trailers. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on manual welding and exposure to modern automated technology

  • Bench Welding: Performing MIG welding on mild steel components at a dedicated workstation to specific manufacturing standards.
  • MIG Welding: Executing clean, precise welds on various trolley and trailer frames.
  • Fabrication: Preparing, cutting, and grinding metal parts using hand and air-powered tools.
  • Robot Cell Operation: Loading and unloading robot welding cells and monitoring the automated process.
  • Quality Assurance: Visually inspecting your own welds for penetration and bead quality to ensure they meet specification.
  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside senior fabricators to meet daily production targets.
Shifts
  • Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (No Weekend Work)
Your Experience/ Requirements
  • Foundational Skills: Basic knowledge of MIG welding (college qualification or 6+ months workshop experience is preferred).
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to follow basic technical drawings and instructions.
  • Physical Reliability: Capable of manual work and happy in a busy workshop environment.
  • Transport: Own transport is essential due to the site’s location and limited public transport.
  • Certification: A Level 1 or 2 Award in Welding Skills or similar is a bonus but not mandatory.
