Forklift Driver

Overview

Temp All Staffing Ltd are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver on behalf of our client in Stoke on Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers’ goods, ensuring they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Shifts

• Monday – Friday
• Day shifts, with no later than 10:00pm finish

The Role

• Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles by using a forklift truck, pallet truck or by hand.
• Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans
• Pick and pack orders
• Wrap and unwrap of goods
• Stock management
• Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
• Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse
• Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site.
• Perform all assigned duties effectively, safety and efficiently.
• General warehouse duties

Your Experience/ Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment and have previous loading/unloading vehicles using a forklift.
• Forklift truck driving certificate essential
• Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage
• Order pick and stock count
• Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
• Ability to function well as part of a team
• Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety
• Ability to work under pressure
